Israeli early-stage startup in the collectibles niche

Senior Software Engineer (Founding Engineer)

2025-12 — 2026-05

Raanana, Israel

01

Founding engineer owning mobile, with backend and web contributions, from idea to a live Google Play and App Store launch.

Contribution

  • Shipped a 15-screen Android and iOS MVP from idea to Google Play and App Store in Kotlin, Compose Multiplatform and Swift, with CI/CD and observability from the first release, so the founders could start user acquisition.
  • Built purchases end to end: native Stripe integration on Android and iOS plus the backend API, so the MVP launched with payments.
  • Added 3 API endpoints to the Node.js/Golang backend, wired OCR into the product flow, and fixed backend performance issues.
  • Built the "Pricer" microservice (Node.js, TypeScript) and the "Inventory" web feature (React, TypeScript) outside the mobile scope.
  • Established an agentic coding harness for the mobile codebase (architecture docs, progressively discoverable feature specs, guidelines, rules, relevant tech skills), so AI-generated code kept to the Gradle module boundaries and data/domain/presentation layers.

  • Compose Multiplatform

Kotlin Multiplatform Engineer

01

Kotlin Multiplatform engineer on TrustSDK, the shared SDK behind staking features on Android, iOS and Browser Extension.

Contribution

  • Drove the first multi-screen feature migration in TrustSDK: moved Native Coin Staking from 3 native codebases (Kotlin, Swift, TypeScript) into Kotlin Multiplatform with shared Compose UI, cutting maintenance and QA time by about 2/3 for a 200M+ user wallet.
  • Built Stablecoin Staking 0→1 as the only permanent engineer: business logic written once in KMP, one Compose Multiplatform UI for Android and iOS; profit beat expectations (figures under NDA).
  • Rebuilt the Earn tab for its redesign and built My Portfolio, with loading states that keep the UI responsive while balances load.
  • Traced slow Portfolio balance loading from client to backend, proposed an API-side caching design that the backend team built, and moved Android and iOS to the new endpoint, cutting average load time by 80%.
  • Laid early TrustSDK foundations: shared core and UI components, unit-test mocking for shared logic, dynamic i18n for the Browser Extension and CI workflows; fixed the first integration issues on iOS and the extension together with platform engineers.
  • Started a Storybook app that renders every state of the shared UI components; 10+ engineers across squads used it to pick components and check UI changes in PR review.
  • Served as release coordinator across Android, iOS and Browser Extension, fixing build and publishing blockers during production releases; ran 25 technical interviews and onboarded new joiners.

Tech challenge

  • Native Coin Staking had been live for years as 3 native implementations (Kotlin, Swift, TypeScript) with different structure, edge cases and number formatting, so users saw different numbers on different devices.
  • audited all 3, found the common ground, designed SDK interfaces that fit both staking features on every platform, covered the logic with unit tests before refactoring, then migrated it into KMP with shared Compose UI for Android and iOS.
  • one codebase with identical validation and numbers everywhere; maintenance and QA time down by about 2/3; production reports about mismatched numbers stopped.

Built a health-data platform from scratch: it collects user health data from wearables and manual input, analyzes it with algorithms including ML, and generates chart reports for specialists. It ran in production, earning revenue, for 6+ months.

Contribution

  • Built the health-data pipeline from scratch: ingestion from wearables such as CGM trackers and other integrations, processing over Kafka, ML subsystem calls and report generation, on Ktor and PostgreSQL.
  • Integrated AI reasoning (OpenAI API) with vector-store retrieval (RAG) over a set of medical papers: it searched clients' wearable data for patterns and gave coaches suggestions and insights with source references.
  • Wrote DTOs, networking and presentation logic once, as a Kotlin Multiplatform library shared by the Android app and the TypeScript/React web app, so both clients ran the same tested code.
  • Built the web app in TypeScript and React on top of the shared library, giving specialists chart reports in the browser.
  • Built the Android app (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) for manual measurements and reports on top of the shared Kotlin Multiplatform library.
  • Set up GitLab CI/CD with unit and integration tests for the backend and both frontends, Docker deployment and Prometheus/Grafana monitoring; the platform ran in production for 6+ months.

CrtService

Field-service management app, installed as the launcher on the corporate phones of 3k engineers who receive daily hardware-repair orders across time zones.

Contribution

  • Made sync 70% faster and resilient to unstable networks, app kills and phone shutdowns by reworking the data-processing algorithm and SQLite queries for a field-service app used by 3k engineers across time zones.
  • Fixed OutOfMemory crashes and state loss on configuration changes by replacing every AsyncTask with PriorityJobQueue and persisting Fragment state.
  • Built order filtering and sorting, QR-based asset inventory, and asset clarification against catalogs loaded from the backend; fixed offline mode and geolocation issues.
  • Moved the project from Eclipse, SVN, Ant, HttpsUrlConnection, SAX and raw SQLite to Android Studio, Gradle, Git (self-hosted GitLab), OkHttp and OrmLite, keeping the app maintainable and crash-free for 2.5 years.
  • As lead, grew the Android team from 1 to 3, hired and mentored 2 Android developers and 2 QA engineers, and introduced git-flow, CI and code review.

Tech challenge

  • syncing orders with the backend was slow and broke on unstable mobile networks, app kills and phone shutdowns.

Elbrus OpenGL differential test suite

Contribution

  • Built a C++ differential test suite from scratch for the Elbrus-optimized OpenGL library: it generated random scenes, rendered each with the original and the optimized library, compared the images and flagged differences, finding 3 classes of major bugs.

Tech challenge

  • colleagues were hand-optimizing the Linux OpenGL library for the Elbrus VLIW architecture (explicit instruction-level parallelism), and those changes could silently alter what the library rendered.
